Let’s be honest… not every season is easy. Some months bring big wins, some months bring setbacks, and sometimes it feels like it’s all uphill. For me, September was one of those uphill climbs.

I’m talking about the kind of month that tests your patience, your faith, and your energy. You pour your heart and soul into a project, a goal, a big dream—and when it doesn’t unfold the way you envisioned, it’s gut-wrenching. We showed up, we planned, we poured into it, but sometimes even when you do all the things, life has a different plan.

But here’s the truth: setbacks don’t mean stop. They mean shift. They mean pivot, recalibrate, and keep moving forward.

Because at the end of the day, we’re still standing. Still dreaming. Still building WiNKED into something bigger than a room, bigger than a party, bigger than a season.

A new month means new energy. And honestly? I’m here for it. October is our chance to hit “reset,” to breathe, to re-focus, and to remember why we started in the first place.

One thing last month reminded me of: communication matters more than we think. Sometimes people do want to show up, they do want to be part of what you’re building—it just takes a little extra follow-up to make sure the message lands the right way. It was a missed opportunity, yes, but also a clear sign: the interest in WiNKED is real. And that’s what excites me for the future.
